Whatever reservations Shin had about the water, he got over them quickly enough—especially when Sesshoumaru slid into the pool and splashed him. Clutching her son to her, Kagome yelled, splashing him back. Shin thrashed, growling in her hold. When Kagome let him go, he transformed at once into his humanoid youkai form and shot off like a rocket.

She marveled as he zipped around the pool, using his train of fur as some sort of hybrid propeller and rudder. With no trouble at all, he even went vertical, scaling straight up the frothing waterfall into the channel above. A few seconds later, he streaked back down again like a lightning bolt.

White-edged waves crested around him, breaking against both she and Sesshoumaru with drenching force. Dripping, they watched together as Shin pinged off the sides of the pool in a frenzied circuit—before springing four-legged out onto the snowy bank above them. In a mirror-burst of steaming droplets, he shook himself off and rounded upon them, hunching back on his hind legs.

Shin’s white fur frizzed, sparking. His ragged tongue lolled wildly. He yipped at them once, in something like dark triumph, before bounding off up the icy ledges into the sentient trees—far friskier than Kagome had ever seen him. She blinked, turning to Sesshoumaru, who was now reclining against the frozen edge of the pool with arms outstretched behind him.

“I can’t tell if that was fun for him or not. He seemed pretty frantic.”

“He is fine,” Sesshoumaru said. Lifting an arm, he beckoned to her with a curl of claw, the ice and snow melted away beneath him in a perfect dark outline. “Stop fretting, and come here.”

Biting her lip, Kagome hesitated. Then she waded closer. Quick as a flash, he snagged her by the hip underwater and tugged her to him. Her hands flew out, pressing against his stony chest. Despite the gap of water that separated them, she could still feel his erection nudging up into her belly. 

Kagome’s face flamed. Her stomach flinched and fluttered. Between the stab of him and the heady steam of the pool, she felt perilously light-headed. 

“We shouldn’t…”

“Why not?”

“Well…didn’t you say there are all these other demons around?”

Even as Kagome asked the question, she could see that Sesshoumaru couldn’t care less. “And?” he asked, arching a brow. “What of it?”

Kagome didn’t quite know what to say to this. She had no choice but to chalk it up to another case of cultural differences—and to try a different tack.

“Anyway,” she blustered on, “this is supposed to be a family bonding trip. Not a…” Trailing off for a second, she screwed up her face and forced herself to spit it out. “…Not a kinky sex type of thing.”

Kagome cringed at how awkward and lame that had sounded. As Sesshoumaru chuckled, she practically combusted on the spot. Her breasts crushed to his chest as he closed the distance between them, bringing his mouth to her ear.

“Don’t I count as ‘family’ to you, Kagome?” he said, smoothing his clawed hand from her hip to her ass and squeezing. “There’s somewhere more secluded we can go, if you like.”

His hand fell further, cupping her between the legs from behind. Heart pounding, Kagome wilted against him.

“…Yeah?” she breathed out.

“Yes.” 

Nipping her ear, Sesshoumaru drew back from her slightly. Taking her by the hand, he pulled her along after him, toward the waterfall at his back. He smiled at her, his golden eyes smoldering.

“Let us bond, then, mate.”

Because once Inu finds outs, we are going to a few extra hands to hold him back LOL. Maybe Shin will bite him again!

    I lol’d at Sess not giving a whit about the voyeurs. The trees literally have eyes! Not that I would mind a little exhibitionism with how persuasive he is 🤭

    I bet these sentient trees are gonna pass the gossip to Bokuseno anyway and probably that’s how Myouga and Toutousai are kept up to speed too ahahaha XD

    I just KNOW Sess has been waiting for this moment (as we all). He’s dragging her like a horny teenager about to unload a second child. Kagome might end up with a few more ducklings before this ~trip~ is through 😂

    These last three chapters were wonderful. I didn’t get the chance to comment on them bc comments are closed already. I’ve been sick recently and just now got caught up on this… BUT IM ITCHIN TO SEE A BIG OLE CAPITAL “EXPLICIT” IN THE NEXT CHAPTER TITLE. SANTA DIDN’T COME THROUGH FOR CHRISTMAS BUT MY BIRTHDAY’S IN A MONTH. GIMMMMEEEEHHHH SMOOT.
