Haha! <3 I also say give Lovecraft a shot - he has a unique narrative voice & a cool mythos behind his stories. ...But with that said, as much as I like his stuff, there's only so much of his writing I can take. Every now and then, I get on a Lovecraft kick, tear through a bunch of his short stories and then drop him for years at a time. Lol

Thanks for the recommendation – I’ll give it a shot! I love anything with an extensive lore. My husband loves pointing out all the Lovecraft influence in Anime and manga, which I love but he doesn’t. He thinks because there’s a tentacle in a show I’m watching that they’ve fully ripped it all from Lovecraft. (Not tentacle hentai … hahaha!)
